I'm currently a junior studying Healthcare Management and Policy at Georgetown University and loving every second of it. Ambitiously pursuing two minors in Statistics and Sociology since healthcare data has tons of information, and it’s important to understand society before enacting change! My main interests in healthcare right now are the effects of healthcare legislation on the consumer marketplace, healthcare literacy, communication among providers, aging, caregiving economics, and mental health stigma. Well, the list could go on endlessly and constantly changes.
I was inspired to create this blog after taking a class my freshman year called "Healthcare in America". Coming out of that class, I felt very fortunate to have been able to have taken that class and wanted to share my knowledge and keep up with the healthcare world. This blog allows me to do both.
In my free time, I enjoy reading a good book (currently taking suggestions!), hanging out with my dog Simba, and making the most of college with my friends. I’m currently reading The Checklist Manifesto by Atul Gawande and am enjoying it so far.
I hope that you enjoy this blog as much as I do and even develop a passion for healthcare!
